Study on European Urban Transport Roadmaps 2030

The  EC 2011 Transport White Paper encourages cities above a certain size to develop Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP).

Central to the development of these strategies is the availability of tools and guidance documents to help policy-makers understand the range of possible actions to create a sustainable urban transport system.

As part of a multi-disciplinary working team, TRT creates a new tool to support city authorities in developing and analysing strategic policy scenarios and road-maps.

Main features of the tool are:

• web-based software with an easy-to-use interface,
• high level assessment of a wide range of urban strategies and quantification of their impacts,
• capability to work with a predefined set of data that can be customised by the user,
• no need for huge amount on information to perform the analysis.

The tool is available online for free.
